ECC’s Senior Drop-In is alive and well! We have been going strong for nine years, since 2003. Mae Simonson, LaVerne Larson and Brian Wilkins saw the need as an outreach to the community and the Senior Drop-In was born! Each Thursday throughout the year the Senior Drop-In meets (age 55+) for Bible Study, Dominoes, puzzles, Scrabble, Thai Chi, ping pong, and a full lunch. A brief devotion is led by Pastor Mike each week. Homemade soup and sandwiches are provided for an average of 60 attendees from the local triple zip code area of Springfield and beyond (Agawam, Palmer, Wilbraham, Hampden, East Longmeadow, Ludlow and Longmeadow). Twice during the year we have field trips off-site which include lunch in a garden setting and a meal at Salem Cross Inn. Panera Bread donates their delicious goods each week and our seniors are blessed by this! A sense of family exists among the seniors and friendships that have been made continue each week and throughout the years.

At ECC there are many ways for adults to share in the fellowship of others the same age.  The Women’s Ministry offers both fellowship and study opportunities for adults.  In addition to Wednesday night bible studies, the Women’s ministry  has other activities which includes shopping, night’s out, and away trips.


The Men’s Ministry includes monthly prayer breakfasts and Wednesday night studies.  Our men also have away events and opportunities for fellowship with other men.


The MOM’s Ministry at ECC unites mothers with children on a weekly basis.  There is plenty of time for both study and companionship.
