Wednesday Night Studies

9:00 a.m.

Holy Spirit:  Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, will explore how the Holy Spirit, through passionate and persistent prayer, changes individuals, revitalizes churches, and transforms communities.  This book study is facilitated by Joe Welch.  Email Joe with questions or for a book to elpj9@aol.com.

Women: Michelle Roberts and others will revisit the book Scouting the Divine: My Search for God in Wine, Wool, and Wild Honey, by Margaret Feinberg.  They will explore Biblical truths found in vineyards and “land flowing with milk and honey.” See Michelle, or email momdds@gmail.com, for a book.

College Age/Young Adults:  We live in a post-Christian world where Postmodern Relativism is the popular philosophy on most college campuses.  We as believers need to “be ready to make account of the hope that is within us.”  On today’s       college campuses, your faith will be challenged to the extreme.  This class will help you to defend your faith against the attacks that will come from all sides.  We will discuss the credibility and reliability of the Scriptures.  We will also look at the   evidence that   Jesus is a man of history, whose life was prophesied in the Old    Testament for thousands of years.  We will examine the death and Resurrection of Jesus as well.  This class will also discuss how Christianity is unlike any other    philosophy or religion that exists.  Christianity is the only way that we see God’s passion and compassion for not only mankind as a whole, but for you as an individual.  Jody Hart will facilitate.
