Christianity Explored, CE/DE Team

Christianity Explored is an opportunity to investigate Christianity informally with others. Each evening begins with dinner and a talk (or DVD) designed to explain an aspect of Christian belief based on the book of Mark from the Bible. The group leaders will facilitate discussion and try to answer questions. Everyone is welcome. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs.  All materials are free. Register at the table outside of the Sanctuary. Class begins with dinner at 5:45PM on 9/24-11/12/14  (Leadership Training 9/10+9/17/14).

Prayer Group, led by the Prayer Ministry Team 9/10-11/12/14

Small group prayer time similar to the Sunday morning group. This is a time to join together to praise and worship God, and pray for individual, community and global needs.

Women's Discipleship Class, facilitated by Lynn Anderson 9/10-11/12/14

The Storm Inside: “Women of the Bible”, by Sheila Walsh. In this video-based study, Sheila unpacks the stories of a different woman from the Bible each week to show how to overcome the lies of the enemy and live as the daughter of the King, even in the midst of daily storms. The study guide provides light homework to personally dig deeper into the scriptures. Several women from class will take turns leading discussions. Please see Lynn ASAP @Church or contact her at LJAnders@aol.com to sign up and reserve a $10 book (free for those in need).

The Prodigal God, by Timothy Keller, presented by the ECC Vitality Team. 9/7-10/19/14

Prodigal by definition means "lavish, recklessly extravagant, having spent everything". What would happen if we began to understand God in terms of His absolute give it all, leave nothing, all out pursuit of people to love into His kingdom? As the Father, the God, who runs to meet us, whether we are wayward or seem to have always been by his side. Don't you want to know this facet of God more personally, to worship him, serve and share him with those around you? This seven-week class is for all adults. A book is available for $5 (free to those in need). Bring your Bible and come join the fun as we grow in Christ-likeness together!

Prayer Group, led by the Prayer Ministry Team

Jesus said, "My house will be a house of prayer"; and again, "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son". And the Apostle Paul said, "Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you".  Here's a great opportunity to join with church brothers and sisters to praise God and pray for the needs of the church, community, world, or personal requests. God loves us, he hears and answers prayer for his glory and the good of His Kingdom. 9/7-12/14/14
