Our annual Hi League trip to Pilgrim Pines to work looked like it was going to be a bust because so many kids were working or taking vacation (how dare they!), but at the last minute I recruited four hard working JV boys and the trip was saved!! We used rakes, shovels and leaf blowers to clear all of the Mayflower campsites of leaves and sticks and also dug out their fire pits. Camp did not expect us to get the whole campground done but we did!! Nice work fella’s!! We stayed down the road under the Squanto Dining Hall and it was perfect accommodations. Comfortable beds, close bathrooms, nice lounge area, plus ping pong and foosball at our fingertips! After dinner
on Tuesday we hit the town for the Bull Moose used media store and some well deserved ice cream.
On Wednesday after work and lunch, we had a great afternoon playing ultimate and other games. Then we headed back to Keene for the amazingness that is Athens Pizza.
The JV’s, On Monday of April break; and the Hi League, on Friday had the great privilege of volunteering with Loaves and Fishes downtown in the morning and delivering the ECC Community Outreach teams Easter Baskets in the afternoon. What a great project that turned out to be!! It was such a collaborative effort. JV’s and Friends club parents donated items. JV’s one Wed and Senior Drop In on Thursday put together 60+ baskets which were then delivered by JV’s, HL, and ECC volunteer adults. Praise God!! On Thursday of break, Hi League also led a Holy Week service at Reed’s Landing and then played Rummikub.
Sunday May 5th we honored our wonderful hi school graduates who are pictured at right. Bella Lopez and Jake Ramgren shared wonderful memories and thanksgiving. The meal was great and I sure hope the grads felt special. Once again our quilting ministry was a huge blessing to them as you can see! THANK YOU quilters and Junior parents for putting on a great luncheon!!
